Award-winning journalist and producer at SBS radio. Iman arrived in Australia from Lebanon in 1989. She has a Masters degree in Communications and Media Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Studies from Monash University in Melbourne. Iman is also an accredited professional interpreter and translator, and a lecturer in Arabic.
During her 16 years of working in the media Iman has covered topical and hot issues in Australia and overseas and has won many awards including:
Victoria's Multicultural Awards for Excellence for Service Delivery to Multicultural Victoria - Journalism in 2007.
Also more recently she has won the NSW Premier’s Multicultural Communications Award – Best News Report – 2018 and was a finalist in the NSW Premier’s Multicultural Media Awards – 2017, New York Radio Awards – 2017, and in the Association of International Broadcasters Awards – Continuing News Coverage -2017
Iman is the lead host (presenter) of Australia Today on SBS Arabic24, a daily drive show from 3:00 to 6:00pm.
