Indian-origin service station attendant fights off armed robber with lollies
Robbers armed with metal bars weren’t prepared for the weapons they were to face as they tried to enter a service station in Aberdare in New South Wales on Sunday morning. An Indian-origin service station attendant was at the door of the store when one of the three balaclava-clad robbers tried to enter. The feisty Indian showered the armed robber with a barrage of lollies as the uninvited intruder threatened him with an iron bar. The quick-thinking service station worker just happened to be close to a shelf loaded with lollies and chocolates that blunted not just the weapons of the would-be robbers, but also their morale.
