Israeli jets pound Gaza in response to rocket attack

A rocket fired by militants has hit a house in the Israeli city of Beersheba, injuring three people and prompting Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip.

Israeli jets have struck targets in the Gaza Strip after a rocket fired by Palestinian militants in the enclave struck a house in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, the Israeli military says.
