The raids came during an investigation into far right groups in Italy providing help to Russian-backed separatist forces in eastern Ukraine.

Italian police say the missile was one of those used by the Qatari army.

Three people have been arrested with Italian media naming them as 50 year old Fabio Del Bergiolo who is a far-right Forza Nuova party activist, 42 year old Swiss national Alessandro Monti and 51 year old Fabio Bernardi.
