Victorian Labor M-P Peter Khalil is urging his colleagues to pass the coalition's $158 billion tax plan in full, if they refuse to split it.
The government needs the support of at least four Labor or crossbench M-P' to pass the bill through the senate when parliament return in under two-weeks. [[July]]
Labor supports tax cuts to low and middle income earners, but is opposing flattening the tax rate by 2024.
They argue it's unwise to legislate so far in advance and it will benefit the wealthy.
Mr Khalil says he would rather see the package passed in full than not at all, a sentiment shared by some other Labor M-P's.
