Lodging your tax return

Taxpayers can still lodge their returns today (tue) after a delay on the my-Gov website held up some people trying to file by last night's deadline. General manager Hank Jongen says in a statement services run by the Department of Human Services, including my-Gov, were affected by a short 10-minute disruption yesterday afternoon. He apologised for the disruption, while the Australian Taxation Office says returns can still be lodged today without fear of penalties.
