Hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers are refusing to leave the camp in Papua New Guinea despite food, water and power being cut off.

The detainees are launching legal action over the closure, claiming their constitutionally protected human rights are being breached.

Sudanese refugee, Abdul Aziz Adam has been on Manus Island for 4-and-a-half years and says he fears the peaceful protest could turn violent.
