Tony Warner of Northcott says “physical mobility is one of the greatest barriers for a person with a physical disability, if we can help them overcome this then they can get on with starting a new life in Australia.” Minister Ajaka commended the organisation for developing an innovative project to support refugee families in Australia. “This outstanding project will provide immediate support to some of the most vulnerable people in our society - refugees fleeing war and persecution from Syria and Iraq who are elderly or living with disability,” Mr Ajaka said. “I commend the Northcott Society on its tireless and vital work and the generous members of the community who have donated equipment to the program. “ Unity Grants bring culturally diverse communities together to promote social cohesion and harmony.
