Here are some common Aussie slang words that you might have heard but not understood!

The Bottle-o — Shop that sells beer and wine.

Snags on the barbie — Cook sausages on a BBQ.

Maccas — McDonalds.

 Arvo — Afternoon.

Fair dinkum — Honest, genuine

Dole bludger : somebody on social assistance when unjustified

Docket : a bill, receipt

Barbie : barbecue

Cockie : cockroach

Coldie : a beer

Crook : sick, or badly made

Dag : a funny person, nerd, goof

Dead horse : Tomato sauce

Doco : documentary

Hooroo : goodbye

Lippy : lipstick

Mystery bag : a sausage

Tinny : can of beer

Yewy : u-turn in traffic

Yabber : talk
