NSW private building certifiers under scrutiny

The state's private certifiers are coming under scrutiny after it was revealed six were responsible for approving 130 buildings with compliance problems.

It has been revealed that a small band of private certifiers is reportedly responsible for approving more than 100 NSW buildings with compliance problems.

As the breadth of the state's construction industry crisis continues to be uncovered Nine's newspapers reported six NSW offenders were hit with 111 disciplinary actions between them since 2005, making up a quarter of all such penalties.
