One dead after helicopter crashes on top of New York City building

A helicopter has crash landed on top of a Manhattan office building, during wet weather and fog, killing the only person on board.

The helicopter crashed on to the roof of 787 Seventh Ave at 51st Street, at about 2pm local time (4am EST).

More than 100 people have been deployed to the scene by the New York City Fire Department, who confirmed that one person was killed in the accident.
