"Opposition suppression" highlights in Egypt since 2013

The overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi, Egypt's first democratically elected president on July 3, 2013, led to an unprecedented crackdown on opposition under President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, the former army chief who took office in June 2014.
