Cottesloe Police posted on Twitter that they stopped the 44-year-old not once, but twice for driving while on her mobile phone on Saturday.

The woman was stopped the first time about 4.18pm as she was driving along Davies Road in Claremont and was fined $950 and lost 14 demerit points for talking on her phone while driving and failing to wear a seatbelt.

She was pulled over a second time after police spotted her again using her phone while driving on Gugeri Street in Claremont about 5.50pm.

She lost another six demerit points and was fined an extra $400.

“That’s 20 points in 2hrs gone,” Cottesloe Police tweeted.

Police are carrying out regular patrols of the Claremont area during the Perth Royal Show.
