PM contacts Indonesian president over embassy move

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said that he contacted Indonesian President Joko Widodo over his announcement of Israel embassy move.

"I have been in direct contact with President Joko Widodo over the course of last night and this morning, as has the Minister for Foreign Affairs being in direct contact with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia," Morrison told parliament session in reply to opposition leader Bill Shorten's question over reports that Indonesia is reconsidering the free trade agreement.

 

earlier, ABC reported that Indonesia is reconsidering putting free trade on hold after PM's announcement of Israel embassy move.
