Public holidays in Australian states not the same

Australian states and territories differ in the days of the public holidays.

However, most Australian states and territories have at least seven public holidays in common.

Australia Day, the ANZAC Day, the Christmas Day, the Good Friday and Boxing day are public holidays Australia-wide.

But some other occasions like Melbourne Cup Day, Banks Day, and Adelaide Cup Day are public holidays only in their own states.
