The disgraced former deputy mayor of Auburn City Council Salim Mehajer has been arrested for breach of bail less than two weeks after being released from jail.
He was arrested at his Lidcombe home, in Sydney's western suburbs, about 2.30pm on Monday.
It is alleged that the 32-year-old businessman contacted witnesses in ongoing cases using his mobile phone.
He was remanded in custody at Burwood Police Station and will front Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
