Senator Leyonjhelm: "Apologise!"

Federal cabinet minister Simon Birmingham has called on independent senator David Leyonhjelm to apologise over crude comments he made about Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young.

Senator David Leyonhjelm to apologise over crude comments he made about Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young.

Senator Leyonhjelm alluded to senator Hanson-Young's private life, telling her to "stop shagging men" in parliament last week (28 June).

He's since repeated the comments on television.

Speaking to Sky News, Mr Birmingham says the senator  should realise what Federal cabinet minister Simon Birmingham has called on  independent he said was wrong.
