Opposition leader Bill Shorten has abandoned his "captain's call" to repeal already legislated company tax cuts.

Opposition leader Bill Shorten has abandoned his "captain's call" to repeal already legislated company tax cuts.

Labor is now promising to keep tax relief in place for businesses with a turnover between $10 million and $50 million.

Mr Shorten's initial decision caused an internal backlash.

But Mr Shorten says he's now changed his position.
