The High Court rules in favor of government

The Australian Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the government and the marriage equality plebiscite will proceed as planned.

Pro-LGBT acitivists requested the government to have a free vote in the parliament instead of the planned postal vote. They have also accused the government of planning "unconstitutional" procedures without consulting with the parliament.
