This new app wants to help refugees better adjust to life in Australia

he Inner West Council in Sydney has partnered with the Asylum Seekers Centre to create a new app aimed at assisting refugees who have recently settled in Australian. The app, tentatively titled ‘Arrival App’ is still under construction. The Inner West Council will enlist the help of volunteers to help develop the new app and its potential features this month. It is expected to include information about services and places in the local community and work as "a communication tool that will enhance social cohesion and inclusion by connecting refugees and asylum seekers to their community,” according to a public statement by the Inner West Council. However, Arrival App will not be the first app designed to aid newly settled refugees here in Australia.
