Treasurer Scott Morrison says the latest economic growth figures show the government's policies are working.
Figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics show GDP grew by one per cent in the first quarter and 3.1 over the year, ahead of economists' expectations.
Mr Morrison has welcomed the latest data.
