What are the most popular baby names in Australia?

Aussie mums and dads have proven their ability to stand strong in the global sea of change - by changing almost nothing about how they choose to name their children as they haven't yet called any babies by the names Apple or Blue Ivy. The most popular baby names of 2016 are for the second year in a row; Charlotte for girls and Oliver for boys. A strong botanical theme has emerged within popular girls names, with the top 100 including; Lily, Ivy, Willow, Violet, Jasmine, Poppy, Rose, Daisy and Olive. There is with growing popularity of royalty influenced names such as George, William, Henry, Edward and Charles while top six biblical names are Noah, James, Thomas, Ethan, Alexander and Samuel.
