Former Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce has called for new religious freedom laws that allow the expression of personal opinions...as long as they don't  affect  a  worker's performance.

The ex-deputy Prime Minister has told the A-B-C  Israel Folau should only have been fired if his anti-homosexual views affected his ability to play rugby.
