Authorities have arrested a woman in Sydney on suspicion of financing terror group I-S. The 40-year-old, who was an employee of a federal government department, was taken into custody at Parramatta in the city's west by a joint team of state and federal agencies. The arrest is the result of Operation PEQIN (peh-kwin), looking at the activities of several people alleged to be involved in terrorist activities. The woman is expected to be charged with organising funds for a terror organisation, carrying a maximum jail term of 25 years. NSW Assistant Police Commissioner Michael Willing says the woman sent more than $30,000 to the group.
