Sydney Cycling Sisters is a group of Muslim women who meet for a weekly bicycle ride.
Their message is Muslim women like any other woman.
The group's founder and leader, Ms. Cindy Rahal, encourages women to ride bicycles without fear, apart from trying to change the negative stereotype of Muslim women.
Ms. Rahal is a mother of four and works as occupational therapist.
The group formation idea came after so many negative news headlines about Islam, in addition to the harassment of Australian Muslim women in society.
She says she was looking for any means she could use to re-engage Muslim women in the society and sporting activities, especially after recent terrorist attacks.
Bicycles may not be a traditional symbol of message delivery, but Sydney Cycling Sisters hope it can lead them to global peace.
