Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi has defended his view that it could be against Australia's national security interests having women serv in combat roles within the defence force. Liberal Senator Linda Reynolds, who was Australia's first woman brigadier in the Army Reserve, attacked her Senate colleague's concerns about women in combat, describing him a "complete and utter disgrace". But Senator Bernardi has told Sky News .. it's strange there is a push to get women in combat roles, but not playing men's A-F-L.
