Tarek Chamkhi is embarking on a documentary film project that traces the Muslim immigration to Australia since the 18th century. He visits outback Australia and documents the journey of what's known as the Afghan Cameleers.

In this interview he says, those cameleers who were brought to Australia by the British settlers were not all from Afghanistan but they were known by this name.

He and his two young sons go on a journey that extends to thousands of kilometers in all Australian States where they trace the ruins of Islamic cemeteries and mosques in the rural regions.

The film will feature Tarek's son as the narrator of this old history.
