The federal government is demanding Labor senator Sam Dastyari disclose the full extent of his conversations with Chinese political donor, Huang Xiangmo. It comes after reports that Mr Dastyari reportedly told Huang Xiangmo, who has links to the Chinese Communist Party, that his phone might be tapped. Fairfax Media reports that Senator Dastyari told Huang Xiangmo that they should leave their phones inside when they met at the donor's Mosman mansion in October last year. In a statement, Mr Dastyari has denied he passed on classified information. But Attorney-General George Brandis says Sam Dastyari needs to provide a full explanation, and he will be seeking answers in the Senate today.
