New visitor data shows overseas tourists are flocking to Tasmania like never before. Tasmanian Visitor Survey figures show a record 279,000 international tourists visited the state last year, an increase of 18 per cent from 2016. Tourism Minister Will Hodgman has welcomed the figures, saying it demonstrates the benefits of working with the industry to promote Tasmania to the world.
