The New South Wales Government is under fire after it was revealed a power station it sold for a million dollars two years ago has now been valued at nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars.


At the time the Government struggled to find a buyer for the coal-fired Lake Macquarie station but since then wholesale electricity prices have soared. Premier Gladys Berijiklian was then state treasurer. She says the deal made sense at the time.
