After various roles, Diana now works for NSW Department of Finance as a Cyber Security Developer


Diana Drooj, 30-year-old, originally from Syria, who moved to Australia with her husband and children in September 2016. 

When Diana arrived in Sydney, she faced many challenges including finding suitable employment. Diana is highly experienced and qualified in IT. She was a lecturer at the University of Kalamoon in Syria, teaching computer skills and programming. 

After various roles, Diana now works for NSW Department of Finance as a Cyber Security Developer.

Ms. Diana tells us more about her journey of settling in Australia and the goals she seeks to achieve in her new country Australia.

Settlement Services International launched Ignite Multicultural Women’s Business Scholarship Programme 2018 to help four women with a 12-month package of support, including an individual business facilitator and mentorship from our team of Ignite experts. In addition, they will have direct access to a resource team to provide advice on financial management, administration and compliance, effective marketing strategies and business planning.
