The government conceded that the same sex marriage bill will pass without any amendments

Immigration minister Peter Dutton has conceded that the same-sex marriage bill will pass through the House of Representatives without any amendments for religious freedoms. More than 100 M-Ps are slated to speak on the legislation, drafted by Liberal senator Dean Smith, over the coming days. A final vote is expected by Thursday when parliament is scheduled to rise for the year. Mr Dutton has told parliament he expects the bill to be passed without any changes
