COVID pandemic hid shadow pandemic of violence against women: UN

Experts working to combat violence against women say the COVID pandemic has had a devastating effect on gender equality, with levels of violence soaring during the pandemic. The findings come in a new report released by the United Nations to coincide with its annual international campaign that raises awareness about violence against women.
