The new national fire danger ratings and how they affect you

As the fire season comes around again in Australia, authorities have overhauled a major tool used to assess fire risk and behaviour - and communicate it to the public. For the first time, a new nationally-consistent Fire Danger Rating System has come into effect ((1 Sept)), to help communities and authorities better respond.
