As we commemorate the 19th anniversary of Hrant Dink’s assassination, we revisit an archived interview with the respected journalist, editor and peace advocate.
Originally aired on SBS Radio Armenian Program in January 2004, this interview features Hrant Dink discussing New Year and Armenian Christmas festivities in Istanbul, his trip to Egypt and meetings with members of the local Armenian community, the delay of Atom Egoyan’s film "Ararat" in Turkey due to nationalist threats, the release of Dr. Antranig Chalabian’s book General Andranik and the Armenian Revolutionary Movement in Turkish, and plans for Armenian and Turkish historians to gather in Switzerland to address the Armenian Genocide.
