Harsh conditions in Kurdistan region during the pandemic

Whilst countries like Australia battle the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation seems to be more grim in developing countries. Nasim Sadiq reports on the Kurdistan region, which is struggling to fulfil basic needs such as purchasing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Economic issues pose challenges for the people of the Kurdistan region, who can't afford to buy and provide protective equipment. Low wages, coupled with rent and living expenses has created the perfect storm for the people of the Kurdistan region, who in many cases avoid taking COVID-19 tests or going to hospitals due to treatment expenses.
