The Chinese embassy in Australia has sharply criticised the Australian media, accusing them of what it calls "a cold-war mentality and ideological bias."
A furiously worded statement (wed) pointed to the coverage of China's reported influence in Australian politics after the proposed political-donation laws announced recently.
Chinese analysts say the issue has damaged trust on both sides.
