Migration agent Valentine Aghajani talks to SBS about travelling restrictions and going overseas or return to Australia.

Mrs Aghajani starts by asking the audience, what should you do if you want to travel overseas to attend a wedding or funeral?how long can you stay? what should you do when you come back? issue of quarantine, who is going to pay for the stay in hotel during the quarantine?

She says that on 9th September new rules were issued regarding citizens, permanent residence, non residents and overseas students.

For holders of temporary visa, they don't need to obtain exemption to leave the country. Currently there are few airlines that fly out from Australia like Air New Zealand, Emirates, Malaysia airlines, Qatar airlines, Cathay pacific airlines and Srilankan airlines.

Mrs Aghajani stresses that before leaving Australia, people must contact Department of Immigration and Foreign Affairs or visit their site www.defat.gov.au to get the right information.
