The Assyrian community of about 3,000 people, will be represented in Parliament by Arsen Mikhaylov, head of the the Ator Union, Armenia's leading Assyrian organization."The amendments to the constitution that were enacted in 2015 required members of ethnic minorities to be given seats in the National Assembly."
