The Assyrian Language College specializes in teaching the Assyrian language to adults 18 years and over. Head of College, Mr. Benjamin Benjamin says he is proud of the students level of progress, especially as they are only in their third term. A number of students expressed their excitement about having such an opportunity to learn their ancestral language. Mr. Anwar Atto Curriculum Coordinator said, Our focus is to invite and encourage young people to learn, because they are pillars of the future. Other students who do not speak Assyrian expressed their eagerness to learn and speak the language. They added that they were happy to be part of a community interested in the preservation of their ancestral tongue.
