Pilimon Darmo is a prominent Assyrian who lives in Sydney. He spends a lot of his time translating government and other agencies documents and publication from English to Assyrian.
Recently, The Sydney Morning Herald published an article about the work Mr Darmo does translating tens of documents and publications weekly into Assyrian.
After the publication of SMH story of mr Darmo, many Australian television networks started lining up to score interviews with him.
This publication created a sense of pride among Assyrian community in Australia and was well circulated in social media.
SBS Assyrian interviewed Mr Darmo to talk about the Australian media interest in covering his story about his passion for translation.
Mr Darmo says his ultimate aim in being involved in translation is the preservation of the Assyrian language.
