Mr. David David, coordinator of the Assyrian New Year celebrations, said that for 16 years we celebrated and organized a celebration on the first of April every year and our celebration in Sydney is the largest in our expatriate communities in the world.

Mr. David added that all the big celebrations and gatherings were postponed or cancelled due to the fear of the spread of Coronavirus.

We, as institutions organizing this celebration, stress that we have cancelled it for the safety and health of the community.
