Fairfield City Council, Anglicare, CORE organisation, Croatian Welfare Office and SLASA are organising a special event for carers of dementia sufferers on Thursday 15 September. They welcome all carers for dementia sufferers to join a get together and information lunch. Susan Issac, the Dementia Carers Coordinator, spoke to SBS about the importance of this event as a respiratory space for carers, a relief from their daily routine, as well as to increase awareness of dementia in the community. She also has organised an information session on Tuesday 20 September about aged care system/financial choices.
