Assyrian written language contains many letters and vowels, typing usually takes time and use of more than one keystroke to form a letter, but not anymore. A new keyboard has been developed with the easiest Assyrian typing than ever before.

Developer of this keyboard, Dr. Esho Marcus says: "I loved the Assyrian language. Since I was five years old, I loved the Assyrian script and since that time my handwriting has become beautiful."
He added that he worked in the editorial Board of the “Mordinna Atouraya” magazine, issued by Assyrian Cultural Club in Baghdad –Iraq, and they had to take the magazine to someone to manuscript it. This was very tiresome. But after his arrival to America and working in the in publishing of the Assyrian Academic Society Journal, he found that there is possibility of making Assyrian fonts like other languages for use in computer programs.
Thus, Dr. Sargon Hasso and Dr. Esho Marcus worked on a project to draw letters, programing them. They incurred the high costs involved in order to achieve the project and make it easier for our people to use it.
Dr. Marcus said that he hired companies specialized in software technologies. And he used to draw the letters from the old manuscripts and the forms that were used by calligraphers in different eras.
He emphasized that today, the Assyrian font in included in Microsoft software and finally we have developed various fonts with a design for its own keyboard to facilitate it's use by anyone. He said the fonts and the keyboard program is available and free for everyone who requests it, He can send it to them as well. In conclusion, he said, I invite everyone who has the ability, to write, to use the keyboard to publish books in our language. The typesetting has become much simple and we need to produce books in various fields of knowledge.
