June Ishtar Jako is an active member in the Assyrian community. Having recently returned from an excavation trip in Israel with Macquarie University, June tells SBS about her experience with the archaeology team. She also discusses her involvement in an upcoming exhibition at Fairfield Museum, "Treasures from Home." The exhibition showcases valuable possessions brought to Australia by migrants from their homeland and explores the sentimental value these items possess.
