Many scams incidents are never reported, but the latest figures show Australians are loosing millions of dollars Annually because of scam and identity theft.


A  series of short videos and documents are being republished on websites and social media alerting Australians to be aware of scams on ATMs, internet and mail.

These videos were produced and for the first time released in 2020. Now they are republished to increase exposure and a reminder for people to be aware of scammers.

Mr Basim Shamaon is the manager of employment program at NAVITAS. He worked on this project which was produced by Fairfield City Council, Fairfield Police and other government organisations.

He briefly explains how the project started, why it was made and is it targeted at.

The series of videos that spread awareness of the public against scamming methods used is produced in 5 languages including Assyrian language. They are 1-2 minutes animations that explain how to avoid scams and how to report to police.
