Hermiz Shahen worked for a long period of his life servicing the community, and worked in bringing communities together from other cultures, especially those that he felt had suffered just as his people suffered from persecution in their mother countries.

Mr. Shaheen said he was happy to be chosen as a citizen of the year 2021.

He added that we worked for the sake of our nation, but we built bridges with other societies and governments in this country.

We appreciate the country's governments for cooperation to be heard the voice of our nation. We worked for the purpose of defining our nation and the persecution it was subjected to.

Our voice is heard in this country and according to our capabilities in the world.

He said that this recognition on this special day in Australia shows how much the country appreciates who works in their communities and benefits the country as a whole.

We can be proud of the youth of our nation who sacrifice their time and effort to serve their nation and their country.

He concluded his speech that he celebrates Australia Day and is respectful of the first Australian people, the landowners, who attend in all our activities and events for inauguration by their representative.
