Victoria's premier Daniel Andrews announced some ease of restriction in Melbourne that will start from the 23 September. Member of the Assyrian Council of Victoria Valentine Aghajani explains these changes and talks about some incidents that people who broke some rules and got find.
Ms Aghajani thoroughly goes through these changes of the lockdown easing of restrictions announced by the Victorian government.
Ms Aghajani also talks about how members of one family visiting another family in mourning after the loss of a loved one, to offer their help and comfort. When police visited the house, they found the family in breach of lockdown rules for visiting another house.
Ms Aghajani also points out some people are not abiding by the curfew rules and some are leaving home after 9PM as the curfew period starts.
Assyrian Council of Victoria is in constant contact with health authorities of Victoria and receives the latest information about COVID-19 lockdown rules and restrictions so they will inform the community and raise awareness.
Ms Aghajani believes majority of the community in Melbourne are following the rules, it is only a few who don't. But she says those few are bad enough to cause the spread the virus.
