More than five months after the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, many beliefs have emerged about the prevention of the disease, many of which are myths that people pass on.

Dr. Samir Jonha said that he does not believe that this epidemic will end entirely. as it is one of the coronaviruses and has the ability to develop itself and generates new viruses. but the characteristic of COVID-19 is more fierce.
On the prevention of infection with this the virus, he stressed that staying away from a person who is already infected and cleaning hands with water and soap are the most important health advice now.
On the mythical beliefs, he stressed that they spread among people, but the latest instructions from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) say there is no preventive or curative drug for this disease. He mentioned several beliefs that say will help to prevent the disease, such as adding peppers to food, eating garlic or drinking alcohol and not using the 5G network, and that flies transmit the virus, the use of hand dryers and a hot bath, all of these are invalid and scientifically not proven.
Dr. Jonha added that the belief that other disease vaccines protect against Covid-19 virus infection or the use of antibiotics to kill the virus is also a mistaken belief.
Dr. Jonha said that, as of today, no drug has been discovered that treats this disease, but there are experiments that are still under study that need examination of their effectiveness.

He added that there is a belief that the disease affects certain ages and this is a mistaken belief. Also, some believe that it is not possible to recover from this disease, and this is also not true. In fact, the infected recover themselves. He added that those who need to enter hospitals are assigned to them only in case of need, for example, if the patient reaches a state of inability to breathe, then we provide him with a ventilator to help the patient breath oxygen rich air.
