"I was not aware of a political decision behind the establishment of Ishtar Satellite"

Assyrian Iraqi Politics
Source: George Mansour

A renown journalist George Mansour broadcaster, politician, ex Minister of Kurdistan Region for Civil Society Affairs, and the co founder of Ishtar Satellite told the SBS Assyrian program that there is little hope for an immediate end to Iraq's disorder. Iran is still calling most of the shots and leveraging its relationships to strengthen its position versus the United States. Mr Mansour stressed that "a weak government in Baghdad cannot (or will not) tackle the rampant corruption that has led to an outpouring of popular dissent, and the country's leaders are a long way from challenging Tehran's dominance".
